The company, La Semilla, has created the short festival version of Eurydice Ascending as a not-for-profit production under the fiscal sponsorship of Dance Theater Workshop in New York City. As an umbrella company, DTW allows La Semilla to raise money for the festival production that is fully tax deductible under a 501c3 jurisdiction.
The festival production with its cast of three made its debut at the Cambalache Festival in Buenos Aires, Argentina in December 2008. A DVD has been created for use in raising the monies needed for the larger ballet version that will tour throughout the United States, Europe, Latin America, and Asia.
